Hannah is in her final year of high school, and the day before Chanukah she is excited to be heading to see her boyfriend Jonah, as he is in university, and they have not seen each other for a semester. Hannah did not foresee what would happen when she arrived at Jonah’s dorm, and he breaks her heart. Fate destines that Hannah travels another path in life with her soulmate. This is a well written sweet story which is filled with emotions, friendships, and love, which leads to an entertaining and all-consuming page turner. I look forward to reading more from this author, and I recommend this story.
This sweet holiday romance enters the world in the perfect month. RH Nix delivers such a lovely read with this one. So, curl up by the fire with your coffee or cocoa and enjoy the whimsical enchantment she delivers using the magical essence of December and all it has to offer during the whirlwind of Eight Days.
I loved this book, such a beautiful read and I loved seeing Chanukah having some more representation. When Hannah goes to spend the holidays with her boyfriend Jonah, it doesn’t quite go to plan. But it would appear fate has other ideas when she meets Sam. Such a lovely read, I was left with all the happy feels, a must read.
This is a sweet and clean, New Adult Romance. Our best friends/lovebirds are in high school and college and trying to bridge that gap without losing each other. I love holiday stories of all kinds and this young love set during Chanukah was a well-written treat.
This was a quick read about a high school girl who travels to her boyfriend's college to spend Hanukkah with him, and what happens after things don't go according to plan.
This was the December BOTM for my Jewish book club. I loved it! The story between Sam and Hannah was so cute. Their first Chanukah together was super memorable. I loved the way it made me feel...cozy and comfortable. Of course, there are some challenges they face together but overall you get your HEA in the end. I highly recommend this book. It's the perfect holiday read.
This might be my favorite R.H. Nix novel of all 3...and I loved the other 2! So many things to love about this book: the characters, the story, the Chanukah traditions, and being set mostly in Montreal. I'd love to see this as a movie one day: it was such a memorable and touching story!
