A year on from the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act
The Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014 came into force on 6 April 2016, changing the way social services are delivered and consulted on across Wales. This workshop, sponsored by the UK Social Policy Association (www.social-policy.org.uk) and hosted by Swansea University, will consider the effects of the Act in the first year of its operation. Participants are welcome from all sectors and with all experiences of social services in Wales.

14:30 Presentation from Claire Thomas, Head of Wellbeing and Improvement, Social Services Improvement Division, Welsh Government
15:00 Group discussions and live presentations, PLUS scheduling to meet at least one other participant in the next six months to reflect on these matters
