Detectives have charged a man following the death of a 49-year-old woman in Townsville this morning.
Police were called to the Pimlico address around 1am after a woman sustained fatal stab wounds.
The woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A 40-year-old Mount Isa man has been charged with one count of murder (domestic violence offence) to appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court on Monday, February 24.
