Bonus Video: Transforming Live Lecture into Online Lesson

Due to a rapidly changing higher education landscape during the coronavirus pandemic, the demand to migrate the live courses online is increasing. One of the biggest challenges is how to migrate live lectures and material that instructors have ready, to the online environment. Many instructors who only have experience teaching face-to-face find that the quickest solution to migrate online is to record voice-over their existing presentation slides, upload the links to videos into their course page, and include a few assessment activities, and the online course is ready. While this is certainly what might be a temporary solution when pressed with tight deadlines and the need for a rapid transition, it is not the best way to design online courses that require different pedagogy approaches.

This presentation was recorded several years ago when many instructors started experimenting with a transition to online teaching, and it still resonates today when many more instructors have to make this rapid and unplanned transition due to the COVID-19 crisis.

Mir scheint es sehr wichtig, dem Ganzen zunächst einmal den Schrecken des Neuen zu nehmen und die Freude, etwas Neues zu erkunden, in den Vordergrund zu stellen.

Selbst unter den besten Umständen kann das Online-Studium eine wirklich einsame Erfahrung sein. Das Online-Studium in schwierigen Situationen kann herausfordernd sein, wenn Sie Ihren Lehrer und Ihre Kollegen nicht sehen können und sich die Nachrichten überschlagen und nicht immer gut sind.

Hier sind einige Ideen, die Sie an Ihre Schüler*innen weitergeben können, die ihnen helfen könnten, etwas Stress abzubauen und sie in ihrem Studium zu unterstützen.

Dato che non siete in misura di vedere vostri alunni nella vita reale, la cosa più importante è di determinare quale tecnologia userete per comunicare con gli studenti, per dare dei compiti, fare verifiche etc. Per aiutarvi nella vostra scelta, vi propongo qualche consiglio per aiutarvi ad evaluare le risorse disponibili e ad iniziare l’insegnamento a distanza con una piattaforma che già conoscete o che potrete utilizzare serenamente.

Iniziare l’insegnamento a distanza Episodio 2: Riprendere e ripensare il suo corso (7:03)

Adesso che sa quale tecnologia è alla sua disposizione, e che ne ha scelto una, adesso è l’ora di valutare il suo piano di corso. Deve fidarsi alla propria creatività. La sua lezione sarà differente, pero non meno interessante. Ecco qualche consiglio per aiutarla a pianificare le lezione ed a comunicare chiaramente gli obbiettivi alla classe.

Adesso, qualche consiglio di soppravvivenza per i alunni e insegnanti che sono nuovi nel mondo dell’insegnamento online e dell’apprendimento a distanza.Studiare online puo essere un’esperienza isolante nelle migliore circostanze. Studiare online in situazioni difficili, quando non si possono vedere ne i professori ne i alunni e quando le notizie fanno paura, e in evoluzione veloce, puo essere difficile.

Ecco qualche cosa che puo suggerire ai suoi studenti per diminuire lo stress e sostenerli nel loro apprendimento.
