First established in 2008, AIC has a philanthropic focus working hard to raise funds for Local Registered People Charities - as a way of saying thank you to our host country - and has donated over 30,000€ in total, since inception, to: Ciudad de los Niños, Nerja's Taller de Amistad, Red Cross Vélez-Malaga,  Solidario Nerja, Drug Rehab Almuñécar, Cancer Support Group Nerja, Alcoholic Support Group Almuñécar and the Asociación de Nerja de Acción Cultural (ANAC).

The Royal British Legion provide financial, social and emotional care and support to all members of the British Armed Forces - past and present and their families. The Legion is also the national Custodian of Remembrance and safeguards the Military Covenant between the nation and its Armed Forces and is best known for the annual Poppy Appeal and its emblem the red poppy.  The Nerja Branch monthly lunches provide a major contribution to our annual Poppy Appeal fund raising efforts, and everyone is invited, including non-members.

The Menu for the evening is;
Pineapple and prawn salad with Rosa salsa
Lamb with mint sauce, roast potatoes and seasonal vegetables
Fresh summer fruits with vanilla cream.

Alternative main courses are salmon with cava sauce or vegetable lasagne

Ticket are €45 per person or €40 per AIC Member and includes Welcome Drinks, Canapes and a Set Three Course Dinner with Wine & Water.
