Kinky Curly Theological Collective Fragmented and Whole: 2020 Writing Cohort
The Kinky Curly Theological Collective is excited to announce its Inaugural 2020 writing cohort: Fragmented and Whole. The purpose of this fellowship is to bring Black and African women together to create a vibrant writing community that can support each participant in the further development of their voice. Prospective fellows do not have to be writers or identify as writers in order to participate.

The Kinky Curly Theological Collective believes that every Black and African woman already has the experience, expertise, and education to lead and offer their gifts to the world. We apply this philosophy to our writing practice, so that we do not teach a writing technique as much as we create the space that enables Black and African women to tell their stories in ways that make sense to them.

We will be accepting 6 - 8 Black women into this first cohort. Applications are due on March 1. For more information on the cohort, please visit us at https://tinyurl.com/spxuwrx

Name, contact information, social media information
Tell us about yourself. Consider these prompts: Where are you from? Where are your people from? Where do you live now? And how did you get there? How do you spend your time? What do you like to do for fun? Or what hobbies, skills, and/or rituals do you regularly practice? Where do you want to grow the most? Anything else?
Why are you interested in participating in this fellowship? What are you hoping to get out of it?
Shared leadership and co-creation is a key component of this fellowship. What gifts and skills would you be willing to offer other fellows to enhance this experience (e.g. yoga, art, jewelry making, dance)? And how can the fellowship support you to logistically make that happen? *Note: if you cannot think of anything right now, that is okay.
Are you able to attend all of the sessions? List any sessions that you are not able to attend.
Are there any potential barriers that could prevent you from showing up to the sessions? How can other fellows support you in mitigating those barriers? *Note: this question is not meant to bar participation but to have an idea of how each fellow in this cohort can be best supported through this journey.
