The Russian, East European, and Eurasian Center (REEEC) and the Slavic Reference Service (SRS) at the University at Urbana-Champaign will be hosting a one-day ILL symposium, “REEE Collections in the Digital Universe: Retrieval Strategies for ILL Librarians,” on Wednesday, February 12, 2020.

Facilitated by the SRS staff, this professional development workshop seeks to support 20–30 ILL professionals by funding travel (up to $500) and lodging expenses. Through thematic discussions, participants will exchange training methodologies and share strategies for locating and retrieving foreign language materials concerning the region but housed worldwide.  In addition, symposium participants will have an opportunity to share institutional case studies, build networks, and pinpoint potential collaborators.

“REEE Collections in the Digital Universe: Retrieval Strategies for ILL Librarians” symposium is made possible by funding from the Department of State’s Program for the Study of Eastern Europe and the Independent States of the Former Soviet Union (Title VIII).
