FLOAT Teachers 2019-2020 Application
As a new program in the Department of Economics, FLOAT affords students from all majors with the opportunity to teach financial literacy concepts in local middle schools. As a FLOAT Teacher, you will receive training in the fall through ECON489L, and teach in the spring through  ECON489C.

Applicants must complete one of the following courses, or a course with comparable content, before enrolling in the FLOAT program: ECON200, ECON201, ECON111, ECON181, ECON175, or ECON155. If you believe you have taken a course with comparable content, please verify with us at umdfloat@gmail.com before applying.

Logistics of the FLOAT program and a description of FLOAT courses (ECON489L and ECON489C) are explained in greater detail in the next section of the application. For additional questions, visit our website (float.umd.edu), RSVP for an upcoming information session (https://forms.gle/uL8zrvRCsrxarDXG7) or email us at umdfloat@gmail.com.
