Really pleased with this, although its not featherlight (19kg)it is fairly easy to lug about and lift into and out of car boots etc. Handle seems to be very strong and whole unit seems built to last. The controls feel smooth and solid and because they are slightly recessed into top of cabinet they are not that vulnerable to being knocked accidentally. It's deceptively simple to look at but its possible to get a really wide variety of sounds out of it. Being a very "basic" bass player I've stuck to the simplest settings with a little bit of compression and it sounds meaty but clear but there's plenty you can do if a more distinctive sound is required, including pre amp and cab emulation. I play in a 5 piece covers and originals band and it has plenty of power to cope with a drummer, 2 guitarists and 4 vocals in pubs/clubs but if you need more there is a D.I. out to hook up to a P.A. Retails for £570 ish and I'd say it's worth that but I paid £370 ex-display with a few marks and scratches - bargain!!

The best bass amp I have ever owned! A fantastic range of sounds from the amp modelling and responses. I have it set to classic and 6550 and I get a great John entwistle style growl. All the drive settings are useful I add a touch of overdrive to add a little crunch to the clean sound. I would say though it is Very bassy and tend to have the bass eq turned down a lot for practice. The chorus and octave are very nice indeed, although I don’t use them much should I ever be in the mood they are there. I would say that the adjust knobs at the back for the chorus and octave would be better placed in a more accessible location! Overall I would say better than the fender rumble equivalent and worth the extra money. You get a full 250watts rather than 125 from the rumble 200 with out the extension cab. Buy with confidence you won’t be disappointed!
