Syntero is offering free, virtual workshops for parents/caregivers and high school graduates entering college.  College presents challenges that many academically strong students are not equipped to handle, such as disputes with roommates, seemingly insurmountable schedules and just adapting to a new environment. The recent global pandemic has added a level of uncertainty and that no one has been prepared for thus far. Through these presentations, we will assist you or your student in developing the soft skills needed to excel in the next phase of life. There will be a two part presentation series with a parent and student section: July 30th (parent portion) and August 6th (student portion).

Participants are asked to register no less than 24 hours in advance of each workshop.  The link for each workshop will be e-mailed out once your registration has been submitted.

1.  Leaving the Nest (intended audience is parents and caregivers of recent high school graduates entering college):  
     This workshop will:
       a.  Increase participants' ability to support their students as they graduate and enter college
       b.  Educate participants about soft skills and how to increase soft skills in their students
       c.  Provide practical tips for supporting student's mental health and increasing coping skills

2.  CollegeCountdown (intended audience is high school seniors or incoming college freshmen):
     This workshop will:
     a.  Increase participants' knowledge about soft skills and why are they important
     b.  Explain changes students may see in college
     c.  Increase student's flexibility, communication, and problem solving skills
     d.  Engage participants in discussion about mental health and healthy coping skills
     e.  Help students prepare and cope for uncertainty of upcoming school year
