7	This spreadsheet displays information on publishing income and expenses of a number of scholarly societies, and how these relate to total income and expenses.
8	The information is collected from financial statements of societies, as could be found online.

10	In addition, some general information about OA publishing policies and practices of the same societies is displayed, as found on societies' and society journals' websites.

13	This spreadsheet contains four tabs:

15	- Scholarly societies	- collected data on selected societies
16	- Notes	- explanation of column headings and column contents
17	- Useful links	- sources for scholarly societies and financial statements

19	Some remarks:
20	- Societies were selected subjectively, partly based on prominence in the field, suggestions by others, and mention/involvement in online discussions on Plan S.
21	- It is acknowledged that the current selection of societies is heavily skewed towards Western (mostly UK/US) societies.
22	- Information was extracted from financial statements as carefully as possible, but no claims are made as to the completeness or accuracy of the information presented here.

24	- Suggestions for societies/associations to add are always welcome, as are corrections to the data collected for each society. Please add these as comments, in column Y, or as new rows.

26	Collection of these data was made possible by the fact that (non-profit) societies/associations are required to make their financial statements public.
27	It would be great to be able to collect similar information from for-profit publishers as well.
