Ep. 33: Shiloh Goodin, Performer, Choreographer, Founder of Collectus Be The Good with Kate
-
- Society & Culture
This week on Be The Good with Kate, Shiloh Goodin: an NYC-based artist who continues to dive into the unknown, face fears, and never give up pursuing her passion for creating.
Shiloh mentions that it has been over 15 years of auditioning, and this coming year she will be finally making her Broadway debut in Paradise Square. That persistence and resilience alone is enough to light a fire within as you listen! But that isn’t enough: Shiloh choreographs, taught dance in Hawaii throughout a majority of the pandemic, and co-founded COLLECTUS.
All while keeping such a warmth and light about her always.
Shiloh took the time to speak with me in-between Paradise Square’s Chicago pre-Broadway run as well as the start of a new pod session with Collectus.
Collectus was created to give artists a place to feel supported in their work. “At Collectus, we are dedicated to uplifting creatives through community. We are better together. You don’t have to do it alone.” (from their Instagram)
Hear about Shiloh’s journey through NYC auditioning, collaboration, moving to Hawaii, booking Broadway, co-creating a company with Sara Brians, and how she finds connection in a solopreneur-based industry.
Words like creating, vitality, connection, courage, and support come up throughout our conversation, and you will love hearing from a human being who is so filled with warmth and light, you can’t help but feel uplifted and inspired.
