Alpha Pi Chi Scholarship Application

The Alpha Zeta Chapter of ALPHA PI CHI (ΑπΧ) Sorority Scholarship Fund was established in 1963 by the founding members of Alpha Zeta ΑπΧ.  The purpose of the fund is to provide scholarships to public high school graduates who have a record of sound achievement in their studies and who demonstrate good school citizenship.  The scholarship is an incentive for young adults who show leadership qualities within and beyond their peer group and who have taken initiative in school and/or the broader civic life of the community.

Alpha Zeta Chapter of ALPHA PI CHI will make available a one-time scholarship in the amount of $1000.00 to a qualified candidate who will attend an accredited, two and/or four year college or university.  If the scholarship is awarded to one individual, the scholarship will be distributed once per semester/quarter not to exceed the amount of $500.00 each term and not to exceed two semesters/quarters.  In the event there is more than one equally qualified candidate, the scholarship may be divided among the recipients and given in a one-time installment.

In making its decision, the Selection and Review Committee will use the following criteria:
A. Minimum GPA of 2.5 or above
B. Community Service: civic, religious, school organizations and/or activities
C. Leadership ability
D. Acceptance of the recipient by an accredited college or university
E. Financial need

The application consists of four (4) sections:
1)Demographic Data; 
2)Honors/Activities 
3)Career Goals; 
4)Essay
