2020 Tuition Update

Dear Students,

At Columbia Southern University, we believe that every person seeking higher education has the right to an affordable, quality education underscored with exceptional student support. As an institution that remains one of the most affordable options in higher education, CSU has decided to adopt a moderate tuition rate increase effective July 1, 2020.

The 2020 tuition increase will allow CSU to continue to offer quality programs and exceptional service to our students.

Undergraduate Courses
The tuition rate for undergraduate courses will increase from $230 to $235 per credit hour.

Graduate Courses
The tuition rate for graduate courses will increase from $315 to $325 per credit hour. The tuition rate for graduate courses will remain $250 per credit hour for all active-duty military members.

Doctoral Courses
The tuition rate for doctoral courses will increase from $375 to $420 per credit hour.

The tuition increase will take effect during terms 1A21 and 1B21. The registration open date for term 1A21 is April 8, 2020, and the registration open date for term 1B21 is May 13, 2020. All LifePace Learning® enrollments received on or after July 1, 2020, will adhere to the new rate. Please note that all necessary course resources, including textbooks, will continue to be provided at no additional cost.

    seem that charging more for grad classes is wrong. CSU should consider an adverse rate across for under and grad charges and keep them both relatively low. The 100 increase at grad levels is quite a jump. Consider an average rate to allow student to affectively plan and save for future education. Just thinking when I was engaged with CSU this system of tuition could have been a deal breaker for me and I would have never graduated. Maybe a discount for first semester students could be considered then the adverse tuition between grad and under.

    Thank you for the update on tuition. We have been fortunate to enjoy these lower rates for such a long time with a high quality of educational staff. There is always a need to meet the demand of increased competitive wages to maintain our great staff members. I always appreciate an increase in wage from time to time and have been able to receive one due to the great education I have received from C.S.U. I am a graduate from 2012, I appreciate my education. C.S.U., has made a difference in my life. Thanks
