We are asking you fill out this application because we have limited space, and want to be sure we have equitable representation from all across the rural counties participating in this grant-funded effort. We want to make sure we make space for both educators NEW to participating in the STE(A)M education community, and also encourage Rural Learning Collaborative participants to join this summer to increase their opportunities to lead during the '22-'23 school year.
To participate you need to have access to internet and technology that enables you to use Zoom as a videoconferencing tool. We will provide you with a Zoom account for future cofacilitating with Zoom. You do need to have a way (web camera/built in camera) to be visibly present on video during a Zoom call and have reliable audio. This experience is completely virtual and prepares you to lead virtual sessions for other educators in the future.
Distance Facilitation Dates/Time Commitment
To complete this program you will attend all four August 2022 sessions and complete the 10 hours of asynchronous work assigned in between sessions. This work includes readings and also creating content or preparing content for sharing (your choice of video, image, text).

This is the outline of the time commitment:
Please study the visuals outlining the August dates and responsibilities (ABOVE)  so that you can provide your commitment. During August you will learn how to lead meetings and facilitate professional conversations using the video conferencing tool Zoom. Then during the '22-'23 school year you will complete this program through actually leading other educators in a total of 3 hours of distance learning. You will be supported by the Rural STEAM Leadership Network in recruitment and planning for this work which will be about NGSS, STEAM education, and/or Place Based Eduction. It is the capstone to the Learning Facilitation program. After you complete this you are now an asset to your local STE(A)M Hub and will have new leadership opportunities to take advantage of in the near future!
Are you able to participate in all the dates & responsibilities outlined above? *
