We, the signers of this petition, as residents, merchants, and property owners, taxpayers and voters, urge Mayor Setti Warren, on behalf of the City, to exercise the right to reject all the proposals for developing the Austin Street Municipal Lot, as described in Part VII of RFP #13-51.
 
We also request, that Mayor Warren begin a new, public and transparent process of considering the best use of the Austin Street Municipal Lot, so that any change to that valuable publicly-owned property preserves the current scale and character of the Newtonville village center.  We further request that the process include the extensive involvement of the general public of Newtonville.
