I have only used this item once, but after that one use I can say I definitely like it. it is a little small for my desired usage, but I decided to take the chance anyway. I acquired the stove for my garage. at $57 I figured it would work or be useful for boat-camping. I installed it in the garage and fired it up. the stove is capable of putting out a good deal of heat, and I think it will heat the garage-single car (if you drive a Fiesta). the only issues I have found are that the vents were very loose, tighten with a screw driver, the ash trap on the bottom is super loose, that one will require modification, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, the paint used by the manufacturer is NOT designed for high temperatures. I highly recommend lighting this sucker up outside and letting all that paint burn off before using in a garage-or tent, since it is billed as a tent heater. I did not do this and my garage filled with the smoke of burning paint 3 times, and im expecting more. talk about a headache. other than that, awesome price and puts out good heat for its size, great heat for the price. The last thing I will say is that the item showed up a week earlier than what they said, which was awesome.Read full review

It is a stove - I'll give them that. It didn't come with any assembly instructions. Two of the flu pipes did not connect. Therefore, the flu is short and barely pops out of my camper. I would not recommend this for RV use. You get smoked out way to easy and the paint on the stove burns off which is most likely toxic. It's been a few weeks and the paint still hasn't fully burned off. Other than that it works!

My complaints are the paint burning off of the unit exposing raw metal, and the flimsy door unit. Make sure you set this up and run it for a bit - outside - before you move this into your hot tent or small cabin setup, the paint cooks off of this thing and the smoke it makes while doing so is horrendous. After your first burn, go back over it and tweak everything that may have warped from the heat (mine was just the door unit) at a low temp of 400. Also, the exhaust stacks can get stuck together after use, I've found that a sharp smack near the joints loosen them. Overall I do like the stove, just going to have to repaint it.

I'm writing this to inform the people that the stove does work for short periods of time. Cons: Smoke pipe gets plugged up in a short period of time so only weekend trips with this unit otherwise you have to clean out the soot once every week. The paint on the unit will burn off over a long period of time, and is toxic. It is not of a high heat quality which I think should be. Non standard chimney pipe. It is 2.75 inches in diameter and not 3" diameter as is standard. No pipe extensions or elbows. Since my application has a high roof the chimney pipe won't reach so outside only on this unit. No damper to control heat loss which should be a part of the unit itself as with most modern wood stoves. Pros: Very cheap but you do get what you pay for in this case. Heats very well for short periods of time. Will heat up cooking pots and food.Read full review

I have already researched this product and in particular, rock stoves, and found this stove to accommodate for a rock stove. The flimsy legs and the toxic paint are 2 major drawbacks on this product. Also the hinge for the feed door is so sloppy, when the door is closed, the door drops below the housing of the stove. These issues I was aware before I committed to the purchase.
