Liverpool fans have reignited their feud with Sergio Ramos after realising Mohamed Salah is still wearing strapping over the shoulder the Real Madrid defender was blamed for injuring back in May's Champions League final.

Some eagle-eyed supporters noticed that Salah's shoulder was heavily strapped as he gave his shirt to Carlo Ancelotti after Wednesday evening's defeat against Napoli.

They immediately took to Twitter with one fan aiming a jibe at the Real Madrid man, by writing: 'Damn you Ramos, just look at his shoulder.'

The Spanish defender ended Salah's night in Kiev by wrestling him to the ground and holding the Egyptian's right arm, causing him to fall awkwardly and dislocate his shoulder.

Salah played some part in the World Cup in the summer despite his injury and has featured regularly for Liverpool this season.

But the 26-year-old is yet to hit the heights of last term and after the revelation that he is still wearing strapping over his shoulder, fans are now concerned over his fitness.

One Twitter wrote:  'I don't know much about the medical profession, but the fact his shoulder is still patched up, will this affect his movement, or his sudden turns on the ball, his balance etc... Or am I simply clutching at straws?'

Another used said: 'I think Salah's arm injury is still disturbing him.'

Ramos came under heavy fire from Liverpool fans in the aftermath of the Champions League final and claimed that he and his family even received death threats.

The defender also was booed by England supporters at Wembley last month when representing Spain in their UEFA Nations League clash, but has insisted his conscience is clear.

After that match Ramos said: 'One tries to evade [the boos]. In the end you feel it, but I stay out of everything. It doesn't affect my game.

'I would have liked another reception because people only remember the action of the final, and nobody remembers the death threats that my family and my children received.

'It is a very sensitive issue that people maybe take as a joke about and [that's why they] whistle in a great stadium like this. My conscience is very clear. I already explained [what happened], and I do not have to give more explanations.'
