Angie Neely-Sardon, MLS Reference Librarian/Assistant Professor, Brackett Library, Mueller Campus

Welcome to my faculty webpage!

I'm Angie Neely-Sardon. I'm the Reference Librarian for the Brackett Library at the Mueller Campus. I'm also an instructor. I teach LIS1002 Introduction to Electronic Access to Information (1 credit) and LIS2004 Introduction to Internet Research (1 credit).

I'm here to help you with your research! I am available to: work with students and faculty one-on-one, develop and teach library instruction sessions for your courses to help your students find quality sources for their assignments, create specialized LibGuides for your courses, answer citation and formatting questions (APA, MLA, etc.), and show you the many resources the IRSC Libraries offer.

Students: Come by, call, or email me for help with research, finding articles or books, and adhering to a citation style. Helping you succeed in your courses is the best part of my job!

Faculty: If you would like a customized instructional research session and/or subject guide for your class, please contact me at asardon@irsc.edu. I can also help you convert your course to a Zero Textbook Cost (ZTC) course by using openly licensed, public domain, and library materials.

The Brackett Preservation Lab is a self-service space providing the equipment and software needed for library users to digitize their analog and print memorabilia. The lab provides equipment for digitizing VHS and DVD home movies, scanning photographs and slides, and much more. It is available as a self-guided model, meaning we provide step-by-step instructions, but you control the process from start to finish.

The Brackett Preservation Lab was made possible through the Patterson Endowed Teaching Chair in Humanities awarded to Brackett Library's faculty librarian, Angie Neely-Sardon, in August 2023. The project is funded through Summer 2026.
