OUCRU Public Engagement Ambassadors 2019-2020 Application Form
In the Spring term 2019, Public Engagement Department at Oxford University Clinical Research Unit (OUCRU) has 5 places available on our OUCRU Public Engagement Ambassadors. We are looking for enthusiastic science, medicine university students and young researchers, aged 18-25, who would like to design opportunities to learn about and conduct public engagement with science activities, and shape these experiences for your personal and professional development.  

As OUCRU Public Engagement Ambassador you will:
- Attend meetings weekly with the Schools Engagement Coordinator
- Engage in a variety of activities in OUCRU Public Engagement Group
- Have training on public engagement understanding, science communication and other engagement skills.
- Have opportunity to network and nurture your career prospects, in particular in research, science education and engagement
- Be offered a certificate of completion and reference letter for your commitment in the programme
 
We are looking for people who are keen to share their ideas, collaborate with others, and work on engagement projects and events. You might like to take the lead, you might be keen to learn more about public engagement.  

You must be prepared to commit a regular amount of time to OUCRU Public Engagement Ambassadors activities. We expect you attend at least 80% of Ambassador meetings across the term.

If you would like to become an OUCRU Public Engagement Ambassador, you will need to complete the form below and return it by 11:59 PM Sunday 15th December. If you are selected, we will arrange a panel interview to learn more about you.
