Pāpāmoa Primary School Board of Trustee has spaces for 20 Year 0 children who will turn 5 between May 9th 2022 and Jan 1st 2023.

The reason for our out of zone spaces is to support the school as it readjusts our pupil numbers and to lessen the impact on the number of teachers the school may need to reduce in 2023 due to the newly introduced school zone.

Pāpāmoa Primary School operates a cohort entry for 5 year old children, meaning that children will start after their 5th birthday at either the beginning of the term or mid way through.

Please complete this application form before Wednesday 25th May.

Applications for out of zone students will be processed in the following Ministry of Education order of priority:

a) First Priority must be given to students who have been accepted for enrolment in a special programme(s) run by the school and approved by the Secretary of Education.

b) Second Priority must be given to any applicant who is the sibling of a current student of the school.

c) Third Priority must be given to any applicant who is the sibling of a former student of the school.

d) Fourth Priority must be given to any applicant who is the child of a former student of the school.

e) Fifth Priority must be given to any applicant who is either a child of an employee of the Board of the        school, or a child of a member of the Board of the School.

f) Sixth Priority must be given to all other applicants.

If the number of out of zone applications exceeds the number of places available, students will be selected by ballot supervised by a Justice of the Peace, a Practicing Lawyer or a Police Officer in accordance under Section 11G (1) of the Education Act 1989.
