Palaeoiris is a collaboration of four queer scientists who want to make other LGBTQ+ scientists feel seen, heard, and celebrated. We have existed for over two years now and are experienced in designing and selling sciency pride merchandise.
We want every LGBTQ+ Natural History Lover to feel seen, heard, and celebrated. Our creations are here to give you that warm fuzzy feeling, but also to act as facilitators of impactful conversations that drive social change.
With this collection, we are introducing oversized pins that are both attention-grabbing and beautiful, just like the remarkable fossil specimens that inspired it. Dickinsonia - celebrating the explosion of life, Tiktaalik - celebrating vertebrates inhabiting land, Archaeopteryx - the specimen that taught us where birds came from, and Lucy - the human ancestor.
