The School of Graduate Psychology (SGP) in the College of Health Professions at Pacific University Oregon is seeking applicants for a tenure-track position in the PsyD program beginning fall 2024. We seek applicants with interest and/or experience in one or more of the following areas: health psychology, child and adolescent psychology, and/or working with diverse populations. We welcome applications from psychologists with interests in contributing to our Latino Mental Health training program and /or engaging with the local Latino community. 

 

The APA-accredited Clinical Psychology PsyD program aims to prepare competent, ethical, and socially responsive practitioner-scholars who are committed to the lifelong learning and collaborative practice of psychology. The PsyD Program provides generalist training as well as opportunities for students to gain additional training in health psychology, clinical child, and neuropsychology.

 

Consistent with APA’s EDI Framework (2021), we are dedicated to creating a more accessible, equitable, and inclusive community that prepares future health service psychologists to work in a range of settings and roles. The successful candidate will teach, mentor and advise students, conduct and supervise scholarship, and may choose to supervise clinical service delivery in SGP’s training clinic. Candidates must be licensed or license-eligible in Oregon.

In addition to the PsyD program, SGP is also home to an MA Program in Applied Clinical Psychology (MPCAC accredited), a Clinical Psychology PhD program (APA accredited), and an APA-accredited Doctoral Internship. SGP has 23 faculty and approximately 290 graduate students. SGP also has an in house mental and behavioral health training clinic, the Pacific Psychology and Comprehensive Health Clinics, with locations in downtown Portland and Hillsboro. SGP is housed within the College of Health Professions of Pacific University and is located in downtown Hillsboro, adjacent to the OHSU Hillsboro Medical Center. The College of Health Professions is also home to schools of physical therapy, audiology, occupational therapy, physician assistant studies, dental health science, pharmacy, and health care administration. Opportunities for interprofessional collaboration are plentiful.
