We URGE you to help stop the practice of mob lynching in Nigeria.
Almost daily, persons suspected of petty or serious crimes, including children, are subjected to the worst forms of brutal assault by mobs who take the law into their hands in apprehending, trying and convicting these suspects.
The mob actions often involve stripping the victims until they are stark Unclad, after which they are viciously beaten with sticks and all manner of cudgels until they die. On other occasions, used car tires (tyres) are hung around suspects’ necks and they are doused with gasoline (petrol) before being set ablaze while alive with onlookers standing by.

Thanks to the power of the Internet, information about these extra-judicial trials by angry mobs on the streets of Nigeria is shared on blogs and social media like Twitter and Facebook, revealing that these practices are more common than assumed. This year alone, several of such brutal applications of mob justice has occurred around Nigeria.
With your help we can put an end to these barbaric acts and ensure that legal processes are followed in the matter of arresting and prosecuting perpetrators of these obvious crimes.
We also seek to make sure that the Nigerian Police adheres strictly to the LEGAL processes in dealing with suspected criminals after arrests are made.

We are petitioning the following institutions and officials:

1. The Nigerian National Assembly
2. The Nigerian Inspector-General of Police
3. The Attorney-General of the Federation
4. State House of Assemblies
5. Governors and State Commissioners of Police
6. The Nigerian Presidency

Our Demands:

a. Make it a criminal act to facilitate or participate in any act of mob lynching.
b. The intended enactment must provide incentives for informants who witness and document such acts.
c. Provide budget for public enlightenment on this matter.
d. The Nigerian Police force be more transparent on issues regarding arrested suspects

We encourage you to sign this petition and to join us in compelling the Nigerian authorities to end bestial acts that debase our humanity and project a barbaric image of Nigeria. Help stand for human decency and the rule of law in Nigeria.

Gaddamit! This is really really bad way of killing people!.

Do I support the death of arm robbers/ political thieves/ child molesters/ murderers? YES!

Do I support this method? NO!

Only those that have witnessed the cruelty and wickedness of these animals would understand that mob action is the only way to sanity in our system. I just wish Nigerians can just extend this method/or any other one on our thieving political class and thier religious counterparts.

when I was growing up in the north, there was this criminal that constantly harass, ra.p.e women, molest young boys, attack people and dispose them of thier belongings with impunity and no one dares say anything , simple because his father is a junior brother to the traditional ruler in that sate.

Every now and then he will be arrested for robbing people and every now then he will be set free from the police custody by the influence of his family status.

Then the masses became very angry and furious . one faithful day, he was trying to run away from a robbery scene and was unfortunately apprehended. He was lucky to survive the mob lynching without his two legs( we including me, pieces his two legs with 9" block in a scene similar to this one ), after his father deployed riot policemen to scene which came shooting sporadically.

He now roll his wheel chair around town begging for food.

moral of this storyline, don't ever expect control over mobs and don't ever provoke the anger of the mobs, which is by far more powerful than thunder storm.

To call these people animals will be unfair to the animal kingdom. Shariah proposed arm chopping, human being favoured outright burning of suspected thief.

There is, those boys were bigger than those things..The whole story had to do with a failed attempt to beat someone up because the person challenged one of those boys and those boys were rumored to be cultists, but unfortunately for them those mobs interferred and caught them in the act and you know the rest..The mobs believed that they were robbers than just rumored cultists that came to beat someone up and took the law into their own hands

This is the kind of mob terror folks like omojuwa inflict on those who dare not agree with him.... This savagery behavior is normal for a Nigerian.

They weren't even armed and they didn't even steal those stuffs. They allegedly went to visit their debtor who couldn't pay, so they took his laptop and phone only for the debtor to alarm everyone that they were thieves. I can't watch the video knowing they were innocent, or so the story says
