Tiffany A. Riddle, 22, a communication major at the University of Illinois at Chicago, died Wednesday, Sept. 24, in St. Therese Medical Center, Waukegan. Miss Riddle was born in Goldsboro, N.C. She moved with her family to the Chicago area in 1988 and settled in Palatine, where she graduated from Fremd High School in 1999. She would have completed her bachelor’s degree at UIC in spring. Miss Riddle was interested in a career in broadcasting and planned to pursue a master’s degree, family members said. Miss Riddle worked as a server and bartender at several area establishments, including Slice of Chicago and Durty Nellies in Palatine and Bar Chicago, where she was most recently employed. She was an outgoing and energetic woman who was never interested in what was popular or trendy, said her aunt, Kim Denner. “She was just always herself.” Other survivors include her mother, Victoria Lombardo; two brothers, Randall Riddle and Johnny Lombardo III; and grandparents, Dorothy Staples, and Thomas II and Mary Staples. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, followed by a service at 1 p.m. in Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine.
