A Warrenville man has been indicted on charges of taking pornographic photos of one juvenile and having oral sex with another, authorities announced Monday.
Lawrence Kepley, 48, was indicted by a DuPage County grand jury on two counts of child pornography and one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. He was being held Monday at the DuPage County Jail on $200,000 bond.
Kepley, an inventory manager for Ace Hardware Corp. in Oak Brook, was arrested in May after Warrenville residents noticed an unusual number of male youths entering Kepley’s home and notified police.
Kepley is accused of frequenting playgrounds to solicit teenagers for sexual activities, authorities said. After his arrest, investigators confiscated a collection of pornographic material for Kepley’s house that included 144 videotapes, 46 envelopes of photographs and negatives and 10 photo albums.
