Just like their catcher, Cubs fans have come out swinging over the “Sox Appeal” article. Indeed, the Sox have gained popularity by winning last year’s World Series. Doesn’t that count? That’s like complaining that the only reason the Sox are a good team is because they win a lot of games.
I think their attention is misplaced, but anytime Cubs fans want to write in and remind everyone that the Sox are World Series champs, it’s OK with me.
