Angela C. Puta, nee Plywacz, 90, died Sunday, Nov. 27, 2005 peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family. A Naperville resident for 54 years, Angela was born in Chicago, IL on April 18, 1915. She was a member of the “Ultra Chics” in 1929 and worked at Carson Pirie Scott in downtown Chicago until she met the love of her life, Erv. Married on June 28, 1942 they lived in Berwyn for 10 years before moving to Naperville in 1952. There they raised their family and celebrated 57 years of marriage prior to his death in 1999. An active woman, and a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church for 54 years, Angela enjoyed giving her time to others. She worked as a sales associate for Marshall Field’s. Angela also served as a volunteer at Edward Hospital, Naperville for 42 years. While in her 80’s she became a volunteer at Pennywise Shoppe. Her family was most important in her life. She treasured holidays, vacations and visits with her children and grandchildren. Angela enjoyed knitting, gardening, sewing, and traveling but was best known for her cooking. Family get-togethers often included lots of good food like her homemade rye bread, ethnic food, cookies, and peanut brittle. She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn (Les) Brown of Norway, MI and Pamela (Dennis) Ulrey of Naperville; five grandchildren, Jeffrey (Shelley) Brown of Cranford, NJ, Steven Brown of Green Bay, WI, Jon Michael Brown of Green Bay, WI, Joseph Ulrey of Naperville and Angela Ulrey of Naperville; and one great-grandchild, Gavin Brown of Cranford, NJ. She is also survived by one sister, Estelle (the late Casey) Wiercioch of Chicago; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Erwin; her son, Roger; her parents, Stanley and Mary, nee Wolska, Plywacz; a sister, Helen (the late George) Mikuta; a brother, Mitchell (the late Stella) Plywacz; and niece, Judy Malek, Visitation Thursday, Dec. 1, 4 to 8 p.m. at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill Street, Naperville. Services will begin Friday, Dec. 2, 10:15 a.m. from the funeral home and will proceed to a 10:45 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at SS. Peter & Paul Church, 36 N.
