Punk Statik Paranoia

When a band’s been around for seven years and its main claim to fame remains a cover of New Order’s “Blue Monday,” a cover of “Taps” may be on tap. On Orgy’s third album, the electro-metal troupe has done nothing to pull itself off the post-Manson assembly line. Full of formulaic tempo-shifts and bereft of hooks, it’s somewhat ironic the album title misspells “static,” because that’s the only thing they do right.
