If it’s Friday, this must be Manchester.

Sen. Christopher J. Dodd, the Connecticut Democrat exploring a 2008 bid for the White House, plans a long weekend in New Hampshire — like last weekend in Iowa, and the next one in South Carolina. Dodd will be the featured speaker at a New Hampshire Democratic Party rally at party headquarters in Manchester Friday evening.

He’ll have breakfast at Pappy’s Pizza in downtown Manchester on Saturday, and then head for the state AFL-CIO conference in Hookset. He’ll visit the home of state Senate candidate Beth Roth and meet with University of New Hampshire College Democrats. He will end the day in Somersworth at an event for Senate candidate Jackie Cilley.

Sunday starts in Lyme at a “coffee for Chris.” He will face three more events, two for Senate hopefuls and another to help Democratic congressional candidate Paul Hodes.

Next week, it’s South Carolina, another key early state in ’08 primaries. Last week, it was Iowa.
