Fung Lan Goon, nee Kwong, age 94 of Round Lake, IL was born on December 7, 1912 in Canton, China. She peacefully passed away on February 7, 2007. She is the beloved wife of the late Fook Kee Goon; loving mother of Brenda Kay (Harry) Moy, Steven, Joyce (David) Peterson; proud grandmother of Nikko Moy (Adam Dorfman), Olin Moy, Kimberly Peterson and Nicholas Peterson. Lan immigrated to the United States from China in 1948. She worked hard raising her three children as well as helping her husband run family businesses including a grocery store, a laundry business and a restaurant. Funeral services will be held at Bowman-Chinatown Funeral Home, 2236 S. Wentworth Ave., on Friday, February 16 at 12 Noon. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 15 from 3 to 9 p.m. and on Friday, February 16 from 9 a.m. until time of service. Interment Mt. Auburn Cemetery. For info call 312-842-1820.
