A 1-year-old girl and a woman were injured while being held against their will in a Gold Coast apartment Monday morning that led to a SWAT response, according to Chicago police.

Officers were called to the 400 block of East Ohio Street about 3:30 a.m. for an apparent domestic dispute in which a man barricaded himself inside the apartment with two others, police said. A SWAT team was called to assist.

When officers eventually gained entry, they found a 1-year-old girl suffering from injuries. She was taken to Lurie Children’s Hospital in good condition. Police did not describe her injuries.

A woman, 31, also was injured and was treated at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where she was listed in fair condition, according to police. Police did not describe her injuries either.

Authorities later said three people were arrested and charges were pending. Additional details were not released.
