Jo Hopkins Deutsch, passed away December 22, 2001. Beloved wife of Donald; devoted stepmother of Joan and Donald Jr.; loving sister of Thomas Hopkins; fond aunt of Kimberly, Tommy and Stacy; former owner of JHD Communications specializing in public relations services to the fashion and allied fields. Long active in the arts, she was a member of the advisory board and a past director and vice president of Hubbard Street Dance Chicago; a member of the Hope B. McCormick Costume Committee of the Chicago Historical Society; a former regional director of the Fashion Group of Chicago and served on the governing board; and a director of the Chicago Associates of the Stratford Festival (Canada). She was also a member of The Women’s Association of the Chicago Symphony, the International Women’s Association and for many years a volunteer at the Art Institute of Chicago. Funeral Mass Friday 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 1431 N. North Park Ave., Chicago. Interment Rosehill Cemetery.
