Babaluci, 1001 Golf Rd., Hoffman Estates, is bringing a little taste of Chicago’s dining and blues to the suburbs for the summer. Live City Blues will be held from 8 p.m. to midnight Fridays. This week’s entertainment features Jack Salamander’s City Blues. Outdoor seating for about 50 patrons plus a large lawn area add to the festival atmosphere. Babaluci features casual Italian cuisine with a Sicilian flair. The family-owned and operated restaurant has been open for 18 months. Its sister restaurant on Damen Avenue in Chicago has been open for more than a decade. Pastas run between $8 and $9, and veal dishes, $12 and $14. The seafood risotto and Zuppa di Pesce top the menu at $17 and $17.50. More than 25 wines, by the bottle or by the glass, are available. A lunch buffet featuring pasta, fish, salads and chicken vesuvio is available for $7.95 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. weekdays. Reservations are preferred, and outside seating is limited to two hours. Hours are 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday and until midnight on Friday; 2 p.m. to midnight Saturday, and 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Call 847-843-3663.

Ruth’s Chris Steak House, 933 Skokie Blvd., Northbrook, is offering a pre-Ravinia, pre-fixe dinner special until 6 p.m. Sunday through Friday. The $29.95 dinner includes a combination salad; choice of a petite filet, grilled chicken or salmon filet; garlic mashed potatoes, creamed spinach and sauteed mushrooms. Dessert is creme brulee, a Creole egg custard topped with fresh berries and mint. Reservations are a must. Hours are 5 to 10:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 5 to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 4 to 9:30 p.m. Sunday. For reservations, call 847-498-6889.

Le Titi de Paris, 1025 W. Dundee Rd., Arlington Heights, is holding its monthly regional wine dinner at 7:30 p.m. June 30. The dinner, featuring wines and cuisine from the Rhone Valley, will be hosted by sommelier, guitarist and maitre d’ Marcel Flori. The six-course meal includes seared red snapper with fennel and celeriac mousseline, lobster essence; roasted Illinois quail with raisins and dried cherries on thyme-fingerling potatoes, natural jus; and a warm peach tart souffle with praline ice cream for dessert. The Milk Pail Restaurant and Entertainment Complex, 14 N. 680 Illinois Highway 25, East Dundee, will hold a dinner and game show, “Is That Your Final Answer?” at 7 p.m., June 30. The cost is $45 and includes the meal, show, tax and gratuity. Reservations are required. Call 847-742-5040 ext. 11.
