Ames (Asimopulos), Veteran WWII and Korea, beloved husband of Athena, nee Doy; loving father of Gregory, Lea, Stephen (Erica) and Nicholas Ames; devoted son of the late Nicholas and Aphrodite Asimopulos; dear brother of Victoria (the late Leo) Konow, Mary (Allen) Widmark and the late Stella (the late James) Faklis; dear son-in-law of Stella and the late John Doy; fond brother-in-law of Sam J. (Jean) Doy and Helen (Sam) Kavathas; cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation Sunday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N.
