Getting started with iOS


This article gives a summary of the Zoom features available on iOS. Using the Zoom mobile app on iOS, you can join meetings, schedule your own meetings, chat with contacts, and view a directory of contacts.

Note: Some features may not be available due to license or add-on restrictions. Please refer to feature specific articles for more info about prerequisites and configuration.

Prerequisites for using the Zoom mobile app on your iOS device

Sign in and Join

After launching Zoom, tap Join a Meeting to join a meeting without signing in. If you want to log in to start or schedule your own meeting, tap Sign In.

To sign in, use your Zoom, Google, or Facebook account. You can also log in using SSO. If you don't have an account, tap Sign Up. If you have a Zoom account but cannot remember your password, tap Forgot Password.

Meet & Chat tab

Tap the Meet & Chat  tab for these meeting features:

Phone tab

If you have a Zoom Phone license, tap the Phone tab to use Zoom Phone features.

Meetings tab

Tap the Meetings tab to view and manage your meetings.

Note: You can only edit, start or delete meetings you are the host of.

Contacts tab

Tap the Contacts tab to view a list of all your contacts and add new ones.

More tab

Tap the More tab to view meeting and chat settings.

Permissions requested by the Zoom mobile app

The Zoom mobile app may ask you to authorize access to the following permissions with a pop-up, depending on which features you are accessing in Zoom. You can enable these options beforehand or at your overall discretion by going to Settings, then scrolling down and selecting Zoom on your device. The following permissions are requested by Zoom:
