Tristan and Issac
After a happenstance meeting, Tristan and Isaac develop a seemingly impermeable romance. But when reality becomes unavoidable, all truths must be faced. Loosely inspired by the classic love story "Tristan and Isolde," our poetic short intends to capture the sacred quality of two people in love, whilst exploring the distracting and sometimes dangerous trends of our modern digital age.
Falafel
Two young professionals having an awful morning suddenly meet at a cafe in London. A day that starts out terrible doesn't have to end that way. The Internationally award-winning film plays like a mini-feature, with action, music, romance, moments of humor, and a touch of Bollywood. Falafel is a story about dreams coming true.
Jen, 28
Jen and Adam challenge each other's actions after their perfect first date takes an unexpected turn.
A Period Piece
Geetha, a control and order loving Indian-American woman, finally has sex with Vehd one afternoon but things quickly turn messy when period blood stains her pristine couch and a fight erupts mid-coitus, causing her pent-up feelings to spill over.
Mazloom
Zara, a 10 year old Pakistani girl and her family, living in America, are invited to visit her father’s business partner’s house for the weekend. Immersed in the cultural landscape of this strange new place, whilst grappling with her new found interest in the opposite sex, Zara meets and connects with 28 year old, Anoj. In a sudden turn of events, Anoj sexually assaults Zara. Deepening the damage more, Anoj’s mother not only bears witness to the act, but she encourages it.Now at a crossroads, Zara struggles with upholding the rules set into motion by cultural propriety and status versus speaking openly about the torment of being destroyed at such a fragile age.
Overshare
Hazel's not in the mood to humor her rideshare driver with idle chit chat. But when they finally cut through the small-talk, she has to reveal what her real destination is, and their relationship takes a sharp turn.
