High-end GPU market heating up

Two graphics cards, relatively close in performance, have been temporarily discounted. The Radeon RX 7900 XT, which saw an official MSRP adjustment to $749 in January, quickly dropped to $700 through various retailer discounts. Now, the card is being sold at $689 for the first time.

This discount applies to the ASRock Phantom Gaming card. This brand has been the precursor for any Radeon discounts, likely due to operating with very low margins and still establishing its position among other GPU makers.

The offer is available through a “SSTDRA6333” promo code, which takes $10 off the current price of $699.99, effectively lowering it to $689.99, the lowest it has been on the US market.

The RX 7900 XT isn’t the only GPU receiving a discount. On the Dell US store, the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER is discounted by $50 to $749. This marks the first time this card has been seen below $790 to our knowledge. Users report numerous cashback options for this store, although it’s worth noting that the model in question isn’t the best custom design available. It’s the so-called “MSRP” model lacking any RGB features but still comes with some overclocking.

So far, other retailers haven’t lowered the price for the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, but this marks the first time the relatively new card (just 2.5 months old) is being sold with a $50 discount. Hopefully, this sparks a new series of discounts from other retailers.
