LIGHT UP YOUR HOLIDAYS! For the 17th year, the City of Frisco and Frisco Square are partnering to bring you the annual dancing light show featuring more than 180,000 lights and 200 dancing snowflakes.Tune your radio to 107.3 to hear the music and sing along as you drive through the square. The choregraphed spectacular runs nightly from 6 to 10 p.m. through January 3, and is part of Frisco Square's annual Christmas in the Square.

Frisco Public Library Closes Book on City Hall Location TOMORROW, December 9

The Frisco Public Library is in its final chapter at the current location inside the George A. Purefoy Municipal Building. Don't miss your last chance to select items (like the young reader pictured above) before the doors close at 6 p.m. Friday, December 9. Library staff will be packing up a lot of memories, too! This location has served thousands of families since the building opened in 2006.

While the move is happening, keep your checked-out items until the new location opens on February 4 at 8000 Dallas Pkwy. The sequel is going to be amazing!

The micro-library, CONNECTION at Stonebriar Centre, will remain open for library card services, returns, and will offer a limited children’s collection.  Check out the Frisco Public Library Moving FAQs for more information. The digital collection is available any time at FriscoLibrary.com.

WATCH: Coit Road Widening Project Update

The latest project to widen a section of Coit Road will soon be complete, expanding the road to six lanes from SH 121 to Buckeye Drive in northeast Frisco. Learn more in this week’s #ProgressinMotion.
WATCH:  Litter Cleanup Crew Tackles Trash

Keeping Frisco clean and green is a team effort between residents and city staff. Environmental Services’ Litter Cleanup Crew focuses on the major streets while volunteers pick up trash in creeks, neighborhoods and parks. The first trail at Grand Park is now open. The Contract Postal Unit (CPU) inside City Hall is a convenient option to get holiday packages mailed. Pick up holiday stamps, too, while they last. The CPU is located next to the Utility Billing customer service windows on the first floor of the George A. Purefoy Municipal Building, 6101 Frisco Square Blvd. Please note... the last mail pick-up of the day is at 4 p.m.

City Council Honors City Finance Team at December Meeting

At Tuesday's City Council meeting, Mayor Jeff Cheney recognized Chief Financial Officer, Anita Cothran and members of the Financial Services and Budget Services team (pictured above) for being awarded the Government Finance Officer's Association's (GFOA) Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting and Distinguished Budget Document and  the Government Treasurer's Officers Texas' Investment Policy Certification.  
A special thank you to Frisco Boy Scout Pack 946 for leading the Pledge of Allegiance.

Frisco Merry Main Street presented by Texas Health Hospital Frisco kicked off the holidays last Saturday, December 3, with a festive, fun day for everyone!

Our emcees - NBC5's Bianca Castro & Wayne Carter along with Telemundo39's Carlos Zapata - joined Mayor Jeff Cheney and City Council to count down to the city tree lighting. Afterwards, attendees were dazzled by the 'dancing lights' of Frisco Square while strolling the holiday market and enjoying tasty treats.

College football #BowlSeason returns to Toyota Stadium on Saturday, December 17 as the Boise State (9-4), Mountain West takes on North Texas (7-6), representing Conference USA in the Frisco Bowl. Kickoff is at 8:15 p.m. and the game will air locally on ESPN. Tickets can be purchased here.
