Which Cincinnati teams are included in the Sept. 18 statewide volleyball poll?

The Ohio High School Athletic Association has released the second coaches poll of the 2023 volleyball season. After placing nine teams in the inaugural poll, Southwest Ohio has added two teams to this week's ballot to bring the total to 11.

Here is where each of the teams are placed in their respective divisions.

Greater Cincinnati high school football:Week 6 schedule

Seton maintains its stronghold in Division I, picking up 10 more first-place votes over last week for a total of 44. St. Ursula stays at No. 2 in DI despite losses to Notre Dame Academy and Mount Notre Dame. The Cougars make their first appearance in the poll at ninth thanks to a five-set win over St. Ursula. Ursuline dropped three spots to 15th after a 1-2 week.

Kings made the biggest move in DI, moving up nine spots to fifth after sweeping Lebanon, Walnut Hills and Turpin.

Mercy McAuley is still on top in DII after a win over MND and a loss to Seton. The Wolves have one game this week, hosting St. Ursula on Sep. 19. Roger Bacon used a 4-0 week to jump 10 spots up to No. 5. The Spartans' ranked opponents the rest of the season include road trips to Fenwick, St. Ursula and CHCA, and a home game against Mercy McAuley.

The GCL-Coed once again sees three teams in the poll, two of them in D-II. Badin fell four spots to No. 12 after a 1-2 week. Despite a 3-1 week with a win over Badin and their only loss coming to league leader McNicholas, Fenwick dropped from ninth into a tie for 14th. Speaking of McNicholas, the Rockets moved up three spots to 16th in D-III.

CHCA is the second team to make its debut in the Week 2 poll. The Eagles went 1-2 last week with a win over Cincinnati Country Day. Both of their losses came to ranked teams in Roger Bacon and McNicholas.
