Dejounte Murray is sending out a huge thank you note to the team that picked him in the 2016 NBA Draft.

Murray has been rehabbing his surgically-repaired right ACL he tore in the preseason but took time to praise the San Antonio Spurs for saving his life and not passing judgment on his past.

THE SPURS SAVED MY LIFE! When Every Team Judged My Past And Judged What I Been Through, The Spurs Knew I Was A Young African American That Had No Guidance And Needed A Chance At Life. That’s Why I Strive The Way I Do To Be GREAT!

Selecting Murray has turned out to be a good move for the Spurs.

Although Murray will be out the entire 2018-19 season, he has already left his mark on the Spurs.

He was named to the 2018 All-NBA Defensive Second Team becoming the youngest player in NBA history to be named to an All-Defensive Team

Last season, Murray appeared in 81 games, averaging 8.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.20 steals in 21.5 minutes after taking over the starting point guard duties from Tony Parker.

The sky is the limit for the Spurs young point guard.
