Join us Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and/ or Saturday from 8:30 am to 11:30 am. We have tons of opportunities for you or your team to help us cultivate our farm here in Watts, South Central LA.
MISSION
Mudtown Farms' mission is to provide a transformative community gathering space through farming, education, and recreational programming. Our goal is to grow 197,000 lbs. of food to help support our beautiful city. MudTown Farms is a project by Watts Labor Community Action Committee.
IMPACT
Our goal here at Mudtown is to build a beautiful sustainable urban farm that will serve our community for years to come. Mudtown is an organic farm in the beginning stages and we have a lot of work to do. With the help of our community and our volunteers, our farm will not only feed our community it will help restore our city and the ecosystem that once thrives here. REQUIREMENTS
Dress Code
- Comfortable and breathable shorts or pants
- Closed toes and heel shoes
- T-shirts or sleeveless shirts (NO tank tops)
- Hats are strongly recommended
- Sunblock
- Refillable water bottle
- Reusable shopping bag
- You will get dirty and sweaty!
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
We are happy to accept any lightly used garden tools and or gloves. We will put them to good use.
Weekday volunteering is free. Please note that all individual weekend volunteering and/or group company/organization volunteering requires a cost of $10 per participant. All proceeds go towards keeping the volunteer days running. This money allows us to purchase larger quantities of tools for groups to be able to volunteer in larger numbers. Please be mindful that MudTown Farms is a small and hardworking team with a limited set of tools and staff. We want to ensure that our larger groups can enjoy the most fulfilling experience and leave impactful change in our community.

COURT-ORDERED VOLUNTEER HOURS
All court-ordered volunteering must go through our front desk. Please reach out to rsazo@wlcac.org for court-mandated volunteering opportunities at WLCAC.
