Was he "weaving"?

A Toyota Hiace Turbo van driver flashed his middle finger at a motorist who honked at him on the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE) on the morning of May 13.

Stomper Terence, who was the motorist, shared a dashcam video of the white van driving past Bedok North Flyover on the PIE towards Changi at about 9.21am.

In the video, which does not have sound, the van was travelling in the middle lane and was blocked by a car.

The van driver manoeuvred his vehicle to the rightmost lane to overtake and immediately returned the middle lane to avoid another car in front of him in the rightmost lane.

The Stomper claimed that the van was "weaving around traffic at high speed".

The Stomper was on the rightmost lane and was concerned that the van would suddenly switch back to the rightmost lane.

So the Stomper preemptively honked at the van before things took a turn for the worst.

"When I alerted him I was oncoming, he decided to slow down and give me the finger,” recounted the Stomper.

But that was not the end of it.

“Even after I passed him, he sped up and further intimidated me with more gestures and attempted to cut into my lane,” said the Stomper.

The van can no longer be seen by the end of the video.
