Yes, Please!!

I purchased this product at the same time as The New Classics Palette to review for anyone who might be thinking about purchasing. This product comes to you in a sleek black and pink box with the elf name slightly raised on the box. When you open the box you find a plastic, shallow tub. The container does not feel cheap. It has a black lid with the elf name on slightly raised and the name of the product underneath. Nice. Upon opening, you see the product which is pink. It does not come with a safety seal, which I would have preferred, but not a deal breaker for me. The pink product is stiff to the touch. I used the elf spatula to break the top layer and soften the product a bit. It does have a slight scent so if you are sensitive be aware. The product was applied to my face after moisturizing. The texture is not a silicone slip but actually feels like my Becca Hydra Mist Powder after it has been applied to my skin. It is a smooth, creamy, hydrating feel. After applying to my face I let it settle as directed, then applied my makeup. I looked beautiful. No texture problems, lines were not accentuated, my pores were not weirdly gathering product, just a nice, healthy, hydrated look that stayed put through my long day and night. Played well with all my makeup with no issues.The hydration in this product is due to squalane. Since e.l.f. is cruelty free and also most of their products are vegan, I am assuming the squalane comes from possibly olives? Squalane is a wonderful source of hydration, helps with sun damage and just basically balances out the skin. It is similar to a product that our own body makes (science lesson for the day!) This product cost 8.00 for .74 ounces, a great price point. I feel that this primer would work well on dry and normal skin but oily skin might need to test it out first. I also believe it should work well on all skin tones too. E.l.f. has been killing it with the primers lately and I am so happy I picked this one up. Great price, great product, great performance. Highly recommend.

Hate it

I bought this putty primer after watching some YouTube videos, I was excited to try this because I want something to fill in my grand canyon sized pores, first of all it emphasizes my pores, ugh. Next after wearing all day at work (I have an office job, no sweating involved) I noticed that my nose was an oil slick and the makeup on the rest of my face looked very powdery and cakey, the upside is I only wasted $8, live and learn... I'm sticking with my maybelline master prime. There's nothing unusual about my skin, just the typical combination skin.
