AI creates surreal multi-decker caravans as motorhomes of the future
A Berlin-based design company have used AI to re-design the classic caravan into a futuristic multilevel living space on wheels.
Created using the AI tool Midjourney, the dream-like caravans are almost like moving watchtowers, complete with living rooms, studying quarters, bedrooms - and even a rooftop terrace.
Each is created using a different aesthetic preference, from a vehicle designed with modernist sensibilities to a retro-futuristic vibe. The project by Ulises Design Studio - named 'Kinetic Kingdoms' - considers possibilities of portable collective solutions for contemporary nomadic communities, fitted with all amenities needed for comfortable, off-grid living.
Each vehicle has been rendered in a charming retro-futuristic style that is both functional and alluring, set against the serene backdrop of a desert landscape. Vast in scale and form, the 'Kinetic Kingdoms' offer nomads the freedom to travel and explore new places while being able to live in harmony with nature.
The series has further been conceived to challenge us to consider new ways of community-based living rooted in sustainability through artistic explorations.
"By embracing a more nomadic lifestyle, we can explore new ways of living that are both exciting and sustainable, all while fostering a sense of community and connection with the world around us," explains the founder of the studio Ricardo Orts.
