We are enjoying a Sunday afternoon, watching the game. I was particularly interested in your comments about the Rogers Center and the shape of the city.
We spent a long weekend in Toronto last year following our beloved Yankees. We will never attend a game or enter that country again! It is a slum town-Our evening started off being surrounded by a group of drunken idiots who held up Madonna masks ever time Alex R. took the field, dressed in our Yankee apparel we then began to take all the heckling the Toronto fans could dish out. We expect a bit of this but the icing on the cake was when we were walking out of the stadium we became surrounded by the drunk fans in masks, they grabbed my 12 year old daughter spit in her face and told us we didn’t belong in their country. It was one of the most scary moments of my life.
We came back the next day and reported the evening to an employee of the stadium. Nothing was done.
The fans in this community do not deserve a team. This would never happen in Yankee stadium. I am prouder than ever to be a Yankee fan.
I also understand why the Blue Jays have photos hanging outside of their stadium of players who are no longer with the organization. They just don’t care.
