Project Information

MHC Goes: Project Untangle is a Youth Expedition Project to Vietnam organised by Youth Corps Singapore Mental Health Cluster. The project has a particular focus on the theme of mental health for both the overseas community and volunteers.The team will be working closely with our overseas partner, ECO Vietnam Group, to develop appropriate programmes for three main communities — youths and mothers in the village of Tra Vinh Province as well as youths in the Ho Chi Minh city.

Why “Untangle”?

Project Untangle taps on the very definition of what it means to “untangle” - to free from a tangled or twisted state.

There are many “knots” inherent within us as well as the “knots” that society may have inevitably tightened around us. Some may cause us uneasiness, feeling of anxiousness, uncertainty or even loneliness in this journey. Through Project Untangle, we hope to bring awareness of Mental Health to the community and break down the topic of mental health further so that it would be easier for one to understand and deal with it. We would like to embark on the path to learn and understand mental health and ourselves better together, so as to learn how to untangle the “knots” or cope with the feelings that come with it.
