MAGPIES : Math & Girls + Inspiration = Success

Magpies are among the most intelligent animals. They can recognize human faces, and are inquisitive and adventurous.

MAGPIES   is a monthly online program for 4th-9th grade girls* who want to:

( *All students who identify as female are welcome.  Sessions are also open to math educators of any gender.)

Each session includes a hands-on exploration of a math puzzle, game, or activity.  Students will be placed into age appropriate break-out rooms led by mathematicians, math educators and Bard College students.

Our Mission: To provide an opportunity for girls in 4th through 9th grade to develop and enhance their problem solving skills and become independent and confident thinkers.  Activities are both accessible and open-ended, providing engaging challenges for all ages.
