yannFamily and friends of Arthur Yann, 48, who was VP-PR of PR Society of America and who died suddenly June 13, may attend services Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, Conn.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Fairfield. Burial will be private.

Yann, who had attended the opening activities of Silver Anvil Awards June 13 at the AXA Equitable Center, had boarded the 8:35 p.m. Metro North train headed for Fairfield, Conn. He had a seizure before the train reached the 125th St. station, which is about ten minutes from Grand Central Station.

Metro North said two nurses on the train attempted cardiopulmonary resuscitation until police and Emergency Medical Services arrived. Yann, who was still alive, was taken by ambulance to Harlem Hospital where he later died.

Surviving are his wife, Amy Boughton Yann, and his three-year-old daughter, Sofia Claire.

Yann, who lived in Fairfield since 1999, received a B.S. in journalism from Ohio University in1986.

News of his death did not appear on the PR Society website until Sunday when a statement was posted by William Murray, president.
