Help Emersyn Luecht, Family Beat This Brain Cancer

Hi, my name is Blair Nelson and I’m creating this go fund me on behalf of Nathan and Sarah Luecht. On November 7th, they received news that their daughter, Emersyn had a very large a brain tumor. She was admitted to Children’s Hospital that night and plans to remove the tumor were made immediately. While the tumor was nearly completely removed, Nathan and sarah learned that Emersyn has multiple smaller lesions on her brain and a large tumor at the base of her spine. She will require 6-9 months of chemotherapy, radiation and potentially future surgeries to remove any other cancerous growths. Additionally her spinal fluid was deemed a vehicle for the cancer spreading throughout her CNS and she will need l her spinal fluid to be treated as cancerous as well to prevent future growth. She is continuing to recover from her initial surgeries She has since begun chemo and is receiving multiple therapies for Posterior Fossa Syndrome. While this syndrome is temporary, it has altered the girl we all know and love. Emersyn currently cannot walk, talk, or eat and is relying on a feeding tube for nourishment. Discussions are also beginning about what will be happening once she is able to come home but she has a long road to recovery ahead of her. We can only pray that she responds well to the chemotherapy to foster her recovery from this devastating diagnosis. During this time, Nathan and Sarah have been off work so that they are able to remain with Emersyn every day, caring for her in the hospital. Unfortunately, life still goes on and expenses still exist. I’m creating this in hopes that it will take some financial pressure off of Nathan and Sarah so they can be available to help Emersyn along this journey.
